Description

In 1686, Kasuke and his sympathizers banded together to save Azumino farmers from the suffering of heavy taxes. This is Jokyo Ikki[3] (rebellion).

The Jokyo Gimin Memorial Museum was built in 1992 to convey their struggle to the modern age.

We display historical materials such as old documents,  the statue of Kasuke, Wakizashi (a short sword) of Kasuke, and so on.
We also screen “Jokyo Gimin Monogatari (the story of Jokyo Gimin)” by our own stereoscopic projector.
